Crepes over the fire

Crepes are a delicious and versatile breakfast, lunch, or dinner option. They can be made sweet or savoury, and they're perfect for cooking over the fire.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, milk, eggs, butter, and salt until smooth.
  2. Heat a lightly greased cast iron skillet over the fire.
  3. Pour a small amount of batter into the skillet and tilt the pan to coat the bottom evenly.
  4. Cook the crepe for 1-2 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
  5. Repeat with remaining batter.

Fillings:

  • Sweet fillings: Nutella, fresh fruit, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, maple syrup, 
  • Savoury fillings: Ham and cheese, scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, avocado, salsa
