Crepes over the fire
Oct 13, 2023Crepes are a delicious and versatile breakfast, lunch, or dinner option. They can be made sweet or savoury, and they're perfect for cooking over the fire.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, milk, eggs, butter, and salt until smooth.
- Heat a lightly greased cast iron skillet over the fire.
- Pour a small amount of batter into the skillet and tilt the pan to coat the bottom evenly.
- Cook the crepe for 1-2 minutes per side, or until golden brown.
- Repeat with remaining batter.

- Sweet fillings: Nutella, fresh fruit, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, maple syrup,
- Savoury fillings: Ham and cheese, scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, avocado, salsa
